This week on the show is just one of those stories which you just couldn't make up. The podcast I'm recommending is Hooked on Freddy, the bizarre story of a bottlenose dolphin called Freddy from Ambleside in the Lake District, an animal rights activist called Alan and a very unexpected accusations.
And one of the many things I love about this series is the host reporter Becky Milligan. She's an exceptionally talented broadcaster who actually started her career as a student reporter in Ambleside and even swam with Freddy back in the day. Amazingly she actually has the original recordings.
The story pivots around Alan who has devoted a large part of his life to freeing captive dolphins but when Alan's friendship with Freddy turns against him, Alan finds himself in the fight of his life.
