Football show The Offside Rule relaunches today

The show analyses the latest stories across the women's game

Football podcast The Offside Rule relaunches today with a new line up.

Former Everton and Liverpool striker Natasha Dowie joins longstanding presenter Lynsey Hooper to discuss all sides of the women’s game, making a point not to look beyond the Women’s Super League to the Championship and below, as well as to Europe.

The show first launched ten years ago  and has taken a number of forms, most recently as a daily update show in conjunction with Sky Sports throughout last summer’s Women’s World Cup.

On joining the Offside Rule Dowie said: “I’m excited to be working with Lynsey again after we had such a good time during the World Cup. I can’t wait to start sharing my insight and experiences and covering the women’s game in a different way.”

Dowie scored an astounding 46 goals in 67 league games during her first spell for Liverpool from 2012 to 2015. She returned to the club briefly in 2023 before announcing her retirement in September.
