Best Friends and Broadcasters, Greg James and Alice Levine Launch Podcast: Bad Chat

Created for a community of overthinkers

Longtime friends and former colleagues, Greg James and Alice Levine are finally launching a podcast together. Their friendship began on radio, after which both established successful broadcasting careers.

Greg, best known as the voice of the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, is also an author and podcast host of Tailenders and The Fast and The Curious, whilst Alice has become one of the UK’s most recognisable podcast and television personalities through shows including My Dad Wrote a Porno and British Scandal. More recently, they came together again as part of the team behind Crossed Wires, now the world’s biggest podcast festival.

In their new podcast Bad Chat, the duo sit down to discuss the best and worst parts of their weeks. They talk through everything, with no detail too trivial or dramatic. The show is designed to be a ‘club’ for overthinkers, with listeners encouraged to send in their obsessions, confessions and digressions for the hosts to unpack.

Speaking about the launch, Greg says “It seems absurd that Alice and I haven’t done a show together until now and I’m hoping it wasn’t for good reason. " Whilst Alice joked, “It felt like Greg really needed a win, so I said I'd do a show with him.”

The podcast joins Persephonica’s slate of successful shows including Lily Allen and Miquita Oliver’s Miss Me?, the chart-topping Dig It with Jo Whiley and Zoe Ball, the internationally recognised Dua Lipa: At Your Service, and Political Currency.
