The Body Coach: Extraordinary People

I hardly need to introduce Joe Wicks, the fitness coach whose routines helped many through lockdown and provides workouts for free to accommodate anyone on a low income. He’s now got a podcast where he interviews inspirational people who have changed their life from fitness or nutrition, but these stories are not from influencer types, but everyday folk like you and I.

His first guest is Jane. After being diagnosed with advanced lung cancer in her forties and undergoing a major operation, Jane ran a marathon just four months later. She did this to raise awareness: “It's always seen as a bit of a stigmatised cancer, I think. You know, old men smoking in pubs, potentially not middle-aged women in a running club.” She also highlights that life can continue, despite a diagnosis.
