Andrew Cotter was the voice of the witty one liners as one of the commentators during the Olympic ceremonies (my favourite being the sarcastic line “well this is what everybody really comes for … the speeches.”)

He’s also one of the guests in this interesting podcast, hosted by author Kassia St. Clair, that talks about the lives of the people who have been commemorated in a blue plaque aka those signs you often see on the side of buildings. Each guest chooses a blue plaque they’ve seen, and St. Clair and the guest then unpack their life and their achievements.

Cotter chooses Edward Whymper, a mountaineer who was the first person to scale the Matterhorn, which is situated between the borders of Italy and Switzerland.
