Mark it in your calendar. The Paralympics are just around the corner (Wednesday 28th August, in fact) so there’s a new podcast featuring interviews with Paris 2024 Paralympians and insight into what it takes to win.
Presented by Matt “The Armless Archer” Stutzman, who is competing in his fourth Paralympics in Paris this year, as well as the Olympian and athletics pundit Michael Johnson, their first interview is with Kadeena Cox, a parasport athlete that achieves golds in two completely different sports: Para Athletic and Para Cycling.
Kadeena talks about how a stroke and an MS diagnosis resulted in a transition from her being an able-bodied athlete to a para athlete, and how her rehab ended up in her becoming so actively involved in two different sports. She also talks about classification, which decides what race athletes participate in. It’s a great interview, with particularly fabulous questions by Michael.
