Lady Swindlers with Lucy Worsley - The British historian Lucy Worsley received rave reviews for her Radio 4 true crime series looking at murders committed by women back in the Victorian era. Her latest series has changed scope. There’s no more murders. She’s now looking at notable swindlers, conwomen and scammers throughout history, from art hoaxers who fooled rich buyers, to professional shoplifters, to notorious scammers that later became household names. She explores the motives and the consequences of their crimes, placing these crimes within context, and tries to separate fact from fiction about their life stories. The series is rich in detail, illuminating in insights and a notable series in a very crowded true crime market.
