The SpecialistA niche but well put together podcast looking at how Sotheby’s has become the temporary home for some of the world’s most talked about and interesting works, hoping to shine a light on the place that is often just known for reeeaaaalllyyyy expensive auctions.

Each episode features a guide exploring a notable work in their collection and the interesting stories behind it. A lot of it is a monologue, but in a way it is a neat idea, because you hear thoughtful and detailed insights from those who know it best. All of the works are explored within their context, throwing you into subjects of history and culture. There is, of course, a website where you can see all of the works that they are talking about, so you gawp in front of the laptop to your heart’s content.
