Their latest investigation looks at the claims made by young women who say that a personal development coach changed their lives upside down, for the worse. The series also taps into the wider issue of putting our faith and putting our trust in therapists and coaches in an unregulated industry.
It starts with a story about a mother who contacted a reporter after becoming concerned about her daughter’s behaviour. She said that “these young women had shunned their families, disappeared for years, and became convinced that they weren’t who they thought they were,” says host Grace Hughes-Hallett. “They began to believe the very worst about the people closest to them.”
