Her first guest is Ted Lasso, theatre star and Eurovision host Hannah Waddingham, who talks about the crap teachers who tried to put her off acting school and refused to give her a reference for drama school.
“She was always dismissive of me,” says Waddingham. “I knew what I wanted to do, so it annoyed her that I turned my back on academia. She purposefully put everyone else in the school plays and had me understudy.” It is clear, thanks to the immense success she has since had, that Hannah is having the last laugh.
