What you’ve been listening to this week 🎧

From your headphones to our website

Our readers are our eyes and (crucially) ears when it comes to finding the best new podcasts to recommend. Here’s what Podcast Rex readers have been enjoying this week.

Do you have a show you think we should know about? Let us know here.

Roxy | Staying Relevant

Two best friends from completely different backgrounds have created something so funny and relatable to listen to! The contrast of these two personalities coming together is such a joy to watch and listen to. Sam forever being upbeat, to Pete being realistic and savagely honest at all times; they are themselves and give us a complete insight into their relationship.

The way this podcast makes a bad day great is no joke. I am always the weirdo laughing out loud whenever I’m listening, from the gym to working in the office. If you’re lucky enough to be near when they are taking the show on the road, it’s a must attend!

Elizabeth | Everyday Positivity

Kate Cocker somehow shares a different means for achieving a positive attitude on a daily basis.  I do not know how she does it but she has been doing it for over two-thousand episodes with no repeats.  Marvelous insight and referrals to other positive mentors.

Chris | Romanov: Czar of Hearts

This is a true crime meets football podcast. I don’t like football but I’m desperate to see where this goes. I mean it starts on a bloody submarine. It’s about a Russian oligarch who buys a Scottish football team. I’m on episode four and he’s just hired a convicted criminal as manager. Brilliant, can’t wait for more.

Helen | Answer Me This!

One of the earliest popular podcasts, it ended in 2021 but it’s back! Helen Zaltzmann and Ollie Mann are podcast royalty and I’m genuinely excited to hear the band getting back together to answer all those questions we’ve been pondering for the past 4 years without them.
