The London Podcast Festival is taking place at Kings Place in London from the 5th - 15th September. Let's take a look at some of the most interesting shows on the line up.
History Hit’s The Ancients will be uniting history buffs with their first ever live recording, which will look at some of the greatest stories from Ancient Greece. And for language lovers, The Allusionist’s Helen Zaltzman and Martin Austwick have a live podcast recording looking at the fun and infuriating ways that words and vocabularies shape our lives.
For film fans, The Empire Film Podcast will be recording a special episode at the festival, with a yet to be announced “special guest.” Meanwhile Maisie Williams, Lowri Roberts and Hannah Williams are recording an episode of their Frank Film Club, a podcast that unpacks all of the elements of a great film.
For foodies, there’s a special recording of Dish with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett (the event will also be streamed online for those who can’t make it.) Like Minded Friends, the Tom Allen and Suzi Ruffell fronted podcast, will be there too. Along with Moya Lothian-McLean and Ash Sarkar from the show If I Speak….
Three Bean Salad, the comedy podcast by Mike Wozniak, Benjamin Partridge and Henry Paker has sold out, but they have just announced a special second show the following day. Beef and Dairy Network has also sold out, but you can purchase an online ticket so you can tune in from home. And for those interested in making their own podcast, there’s masterclasses on honing in on good storytelling and conversation as well as mastering editing tools.
