Returning this May, the Golden Lobes podcast awards will once again spotlight the funnier side of podcasting. Entries are open to established shows and independent creators, regardless of genre, size or platform. The awards recognise moments that make audiences laugh, whether that’s a blooper in a true crime episode, an unscripted guest exchange, or an unexpected tangent in a history show.
The Golden Lobes feature 17 categories, including Best Blooper, Best Social and Behind The Scenes Hero. The awards are not limited to comedy podcasts, instead highlighting humorous moments from any type of show. Previous winners have included comedian Harry Hill, who received Best Earworm, broadcaster Frank Skinner who was honoured with the Lobes Legend award, and former England rugby player Joe Marler, who won Best Guest.
Entries for this year’s awards are open until 4 March and for those that win, a package of over £6,000 worth of prizes is on offer along with the recognition of one of podcasting’s most celebratory nights.
