Wrongly Accused: The Annette Hewins Story

Wrongly Accused: The Annette Hewins Story - A new series exploring a devastating miscarriage of justice, where two women were falsely convicted for starting a house fire that killed a mother and two infants.

One of the wrongfully accused, Annette Hewins, died in 2017 after being transferred to hospital after being detained under the Mental Health Act. This new BBC Radio Wales explores what went wrong: from the wrongful conviction to the subsequent poor treatment she had received in hospital and the consequences the wrongful convictions had on her loved ones. The series is narrated by Nicole Jacob, Annette’s daughter.
