There are a lot of podcasts retelling the story of the sinking of the Titanic, but this new series by Nosier is well worth your time because of its immersive storytelling and strong production. It contains facts, stories and insights you wouldn’t have heard anywhere else. It has also been narrated by Paul McGann, who has also voiced equally engrossing Noiser series such as Real Dictators.

As well as retelling the Titanic story, the series looks at the remaining overhanging questions that still linger more than 100 years since its sinking. “Why were so many iceberg warnings ignored in the lead up to the collision?,” asks Paul McGann. “And with almost 1200 places available in the lifeboats, why were only 700 people saved?” The first two episodes are now available to listen to now, with a further two episodes for Noiser+ subscribers.
