Patient 11 - A collaboration between Sky News and The Independent, this shocking new investigation, 18 months in the making, investigates allegations of sexual abuse on mental health wards across England. The series uncovers that since 2019, there have been nearly 20,000 claims of sexual assault and harassment at more than 30 NHS Trusts, and 800 allegations of rape and sexual assault involving female patients.

The series features the powerful testimony Alexis Quinn, a former GB swimmer, who within hours of being admitted to psychiatric care had made her first complaint of sexual assault. Her subsequent sectioning resulted in a three year ordeal instead of treatment, consisting of assault, restraint, sedation and isolation. This is a difficult listen, but an important investigation shining a light on some of the most vulnerable people in society.
