Legacy - Each series of this history podcast hosted by Afua Hirsh and Peter Frankopan is a deep dive into a life story of a well known individual and the legacy they have left behind. So far the show has explored Nina Simone, Gorbachev and Napoleon. Now it is the turn for the father of modern computing and artificial intelligence, Alan Turing, to be explored in depth over four in one hour episodes.

“I just think it is a story that says so much about our world,” says Hirsch. “It is about class, it is about sexuality and identity, it is about neurodivergence, it is about breaking out of the straight-jacket you were put in. I feel all of that is encapsulated within his story.”

The first episode is available to listen to now, with the rest of the series available early for Wondery+ subscribers (with a one month free trial on Apple Podcasts). Amazon Prime users can also listen to the whole series for free through the Amazon Music app.
