Nothing will ever beat TV Burp. As Richard Osman hinted in an episode of The Rest is Entertainment, there are reasons TV Burp cannot return to ITV, reasons even Osman couldn’t explain openly. So the best we can hope for is this new podcast series where Harry Hill interviews guests in a similar looking video, which is constantly interrupted with his distinctive leftfield sketches.
“It’s interesting seeing you do your bits with no audience,” says Stewart Lee, his first guest. “You look like a madman who has been incarcerated and is playing with things he’s found on the floor in his cell.” There’s nobody else quite like Harry.
