BBC Audio Lab gives a platform to the next generation of storytellers and podcasters. This interesting mini series by Keira Edwards looks at how daily sounds, from public train announcements to air conditioning, can impact neurodivergent people.

She’s joined by Dr Tom Nicholson in each episode, who explains the science driving many of these challenges, such as that neurodivergent brains can find it harder to differentiate between what sounds brains filter out. It’s a handy guide for those who are trying to understand a neurodivergent loved one or are coming to terms with their own diagnosis.
