Gangster Presents… The Story of Ronnie Biggs

A new audio documentary about one of the most notorious wanted fugitives in British history. Ronnie Biggs was part of a gang that stole millions in The Great Train Robbery of 1963. After fleeing Wandsworth Prison, he evaded British justice for 35 years by living in Australia and Rio de Janeiro.  After returning to the UK on a private jet paid for by The Sun, he was imprisoned and eventually released on compassionate grounds due to his health.Daniel Mays, who portrayed Biggs in a 2012 ITV drama Mrs Biggs, is the narrator of this detailed and pacey series that looks at his crimes and complicated legacy.
