A haunting and brilliantly well told tale, this new AppleTV+ podcast series looks at a strange story from 1950s England, all about a milkman called John Pollock.
After his daughters are killed in a road traffic accident, Pollock does not spend any time grieving their loss, nor does he visit their grave. Instead, as a believer in reincarnation, he predicts that his daughters will be reborn again in the near future. And lo and behold, his wife soon gets pregnant, and gives birth to twin daughters who are very similar to the ones who had recently died.
Their births soon become a news sensation, but that’s only the beginning of a story that has many twists and turns. Will Sharpe, who you might recognise from Giri/Haji and The White Lotus, guides you through what happens next. And there’s an interesting personal dimension to this podcast too, as Pollock's granddaughter Lauren is a contributor to the series, who does not know how the story concludes.
