D-Day: The Tide Turns - A new storytelling podcast, narrated by Paul McGann amplifying stories from D-Day, was released this week. You’ll hear about the daring risks, the astonishing levels of preparation and logistics and the sacrifices that were made, with contributions from historians and experts. The first episode looked at how it was the biggest subterfuge in history, with a fake army with fake tanks misleading Hitler during the invasion.

Meanwhile, Dan Snow’s History Hit released a new series on the Normandy Landings. New episodes will drop on key dates between now and May next year to highlight the pivotal moments that led from D-Day to VE Day. As it was the greatest invasion by land, sea and air in history, the first three episodes of the series look at the people who were involved in each and the sacrifices they made.
