Christiane Amanpour Presents: The Ex Files

The CNN Anchor and journalist Christiane Amanpour has spent much of her career reporting from the front lines, analysing key events and interviewing world leaders. She’s now launched a new podcast picking apart international affairs with her trademark wit and insight with co-host Jamie Rubin, who was a US State Department official under President Bill Clinton and Joe Biden. A surprising twist? They are exes, married for 20 years and divorced for the past seven, yet both fondly remembering the deep conversations and keen to keep them going at a time when world affairs feel particularly perilous.

It is a deeply insightful listen, weaving professional insights and with a personal touch and witty anecdotes, removing the stuffiness that can sometimes awry with podcasts tied to international news. Would I start a podcast with my ex? Hell no, but I’m happy they have.
