Twice a week Don Wildman is joined by an expert to delve into a pivotal historical moment to separate fact from fiction. A recent episode looked at Pocahontas, telling the real story rather than the story depicted in a Disney film. “I think her life, her real life, is actually more interesting than the movie versions than we have been given,” said Camilla Townsend, an expert in Native American history from Rutgers University. “She should be revered as someone who showed bravery and smarts and not thought of as a silly girl who fell in love with an Englishman.”
