13 Minutes Presents: The Space Shuttle

Five years ago, the BBC World Service launched ‘13 Minutes of the Moon,’ which looked at the Apollo 11 lunar landing minute-by-minute. Now the strand is back with a new ten-part series telling the inside story of The Space Shuttle, the first reusable crewed spacecraft attached to a rocket as tall as a fourteen story building.

The series weaves together a mixture of archive and interviews, presented by the space scientist Maggie Aderin-Pocock, the host of The Sky at Night on BBC Four. The full series is now available to watch on BBC Sounds.
