New host hops on board travel podcast for series two

It didn't take them long to choo choo choose a replacement

Travel podcast Routes, where famous faces speak about the journeys they've been on that define them, has a new host.

Jenni Falconer takes over the reins from Clara Amfo for the LNER show's second series, which is due to debut in September.

The Scottish broadcaster says she "loves the sense of adventure, the memories tied to holidays and different parts of my life, and the way certain places just stay with you. That’s what Routes is all about."

She's also from the other end of the LNER network to Londoner Amfo, which we just think is neat. The series is made by the Leeds-based podcast agency Distorted, another key stop on the line.

Elsewhere the rail operator continues to expand into podcasting, launching LNER Kids Club in association with Fun Kids. In the show, curious children get the chance to ask everything you've ever wanted to know about train travel to train drivers, station managers and other professionals up and down the network. Like Routes, the show is available through QR codes on seats.
