Inside Counter Terrorism Policing has returned with a new season, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the officers and staff members working tirelessly to keep the public safe from terrorism in the UK.
Over the coming months, Counter Terrorism Policing is releasing six new episodes hosted by its Head of Media and Digital, Amy Nagy. She speaks to a range of professionals working across the counter-terrorism network including specialists in intelligence, explosives and legal teams. Conversations focus on each guest’s career paths, past experiences and current responsibilities, all the while keeping them anonymous for security purposes.
The debut episode features Clara*, an international counter-terrorism policing liaison officer based overseas. She describes how a burglary in London led her to change career plans from pursuing dance to joining policing. She also reflects on her previous experience as a homicide detective and hostage negotiator.
Upcoming guests include Tom*, Head of Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear operations, Alex*, a national security lawyer, Grace*, who leads the Counter Terrorism Internet Referral Unit, and Jenna*, who works with convicted terrorists living in the community.
Together, the episodes offer rare insight into counter-terrorism policing, shining a light on the officers who keep the British public safe and sharing perspectives from those working in the field.
