Big news in podcasting land. Annie Macmanus and Nick Grimshaw are reuniting for a new BBC Sounds podcast, which will be debuting next month.
Sidetracked with Annie and Nick will look at the latest developments of the music scene and pop culture, with space for the conversation to breathe should something else interesting come up (hence the title ‘Sidetracked.’)
There’s a five minute teaser episode giving a flavour of how it will sound, and so far it provides welcome nostalgia for those who listened to Radio 1 during the early 2010s. It basically sounds like what you used to hear on the station between the music. And whilst both Annie and Nick have both spawned successful podcasts by themselves (with Dish and Changes respectively), it is such a joy to have them together front and centre back on the Beeb. The podcast will be out from Thursday 28th September.
