This week in podcasting: Michael Palin and Mel Giedroyc

A new addition to the big Northern festival lineup

A couple of weeks ago we mentioned that Greg James has joined as Creative Director of the upcoming Crossed Wires Podcast Festival, bringing together some of the biggest podcasts together in Sheffield for a weekend of special live shows from the 4th – 6th July. He has now announced that he will be hosting a big Q&A kicking off the weekend… the one and only Michael Palin.

You can purchase tickets for Nobody expects The Michael Palin Podcast, taking place at Sheffield City Hall on the Crossed Wires website now.

Elsewhere in podcast land, it was announced this week that Mel Giedroyc is the new host of Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake. She said: “I’ll be gleefully rifling through the coffins of the great and good, unearthing their deathly daydreams, and scrubbing up my halo, or perhaps pitchfork, as I guide them into the great beyond.” New episodes will be out from Tuesday 20th May.
