Who Replaced Avril Lavigne? Joanne McNally Investigates -As investigations go, this is a wild one. Comedian Joanne McNally looks at the conspiracy theory that Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne was replaced by a body double at the height of her fame in this new BBC Sounds series (yes, this is a BBC series). McNally is perfectly placed for this series, providing a fitting wry sense of humour to some of the claims but is also eager to work out the truth and dig a little deeper. Lavigne’s voice, look and handwriting has changed throughout her career, so there’s surprisingly more to this story than you might think.
