Ever since Tortoise bought The Observer there’s been a closer tie-in with their long-running slate of investigative and news podcasts, such as The News Meeting. From this week however, they are branching out with a new podcast exploring culture, hosted by fellow audio critic Miranda Sawyer and the writer and journalist Liv Little.
In each episode, they discuss a recent culture or arts story on their minds, sent first as a voice note to each other, which you’ll hear. They then discuss the topic in depth, with a thoughtful approach regardless of whether the topic is highbrow or lowbrow. Both Liv and Miranda are oracles of knowledge and the chemistry is great too. A podcast to look out for.
