Trapped History - At one point or another we’ve all wondered why a certain person or event wasn’t ever taught in history class.

Based on the Instagram account, this history podcast highlights events that might be overlooked by the other places and amplifies people who you may not have heard about before. Stories include the 160 women who ferried vital military aircraft during World War II, to the history of the Soviet version of the Eurovision Song Contest that took place during the Cold War, called Intervision, which bizarrely had the United States as one of its winners.

Recent guests and experts on the podcast include writer Pete Paphides, Orwell Prize winner Dee Jarrett-Macauley and the broadcaster Peter Stanford.
