Daniel Hewitt from ITV News from the last four years investigating people living in appalling living conditions and the landlords and housing associations who have ignored their pleas for help. In this illuminating, necessary and hard-hitting new eight part series, Hewitt explores how so many people live in houses that are putting their lives in danger and why so little is being done about it. And what is particularly damning is how many people have been suffering in houses owned and managed by the British state. 

“Grenfell should have been a turning point in lots of ways, but as an absolute minimum, it should have been a turning point for how social housing tenants are treated when they complain about things,” says Hewitt. “72 people lost their lives, and yet we walk into a building in Croydon less than four years later. Exactly the same thing is happening. Tenants are being ignored and their lives have been put in danger.”
