Unbelievably, despite having been in radio broadcasting for more than 25 years, BBC Radio 2’s Sara Cox has never fronted her own podcast. That is until now, of course (I mean, why else would I be mentioning this?), as she has just launched her own parenting podcast with her childhood friend Clare Hamilton, where they both reminisce on their teenage years together.

As they now have five teenagers between them, they find that “the best teen advice comes from those who know every trick in the book,” Sara says.

In each episode they feature relatable anecdotes and share advice thought up by themselves and their listeners. And as it is in a podcast format, may I say that it is really rather surreal to be hearing Cox saying the words “shit” and “mindfuck.”
