People Who Knew Me

10:38 AM GMT+1 on June 6, 2023

People Who Knew Me – A huge trend in podcasting right now are stories about people who have scammed or lied to others, followed by facing the consequences of their own actions. This new BBC Sounds audio drama, made by the same team behind the Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters, is one of the most compelling.

This fictional drama is about Connie Prynne, a woman who faked her own death in the aftermath of 9/11 in order to start a new life on the other side of America. It is only after a cancer diagnosis that she realises that she has to come clean.

This well paced series is voiced by Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and the drama also features Hugh Laurie (House). There are two episodes a week, each episode only lasting 15 minutes a piece, so it is easy to get sucked into.
