A new interview series where Cush Jumbo, who you might recognise from Criminal Record and The Good Wife, asks influential people three stories that shaped them to where they are today. Why? Well, according to Cush, “even the most successful people have to have started somewhere, and I’m very nosy and want to know where that place is.”

It’s all the more interesting because in the first episode they have landed quite the guest: Dame Anna Wintour, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, who traditionally has been viewed to be quite an enigma. She’s more open than you would expect here, talking about how she had failed in an old job and that she doesn’t think she would have entered journalism today if she was starting out (she reckons that many creatives are self-sufficient and are good at working on different platforms, whilst she can’t touch type).
