The strange thing about being a news broadcaster is that millions of viewers will see you, but they might not actually know who you are.
This new podcast by Dermot Murnaghan features interviews with current and former anchors, journalists and correspondents, all about being at the front line of news. There’s lots of behind-the-scenes info you wouldn’t have heard anywhere else, such as Dr Sian Williams talking about the time she was fronting BBC One breaking news coverage of the death of a well known person, with little info, as she heard the line “the obituary cupboard is locked and we don’t have the key” down her earpiece.
