Winning the Gold award at this year’s British Podcast Awards, I missed this Radio 4 series looking at the life of the acclaimed singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Joni Mitchell when it was originally released earlier this year.

If you haven’t listened to it, you also should. In this well-told, tightly produced series and weaved together with compelling sound design, Jesca Hoop explores how Mitchell became one of the most respected recording artists of all time and the innovations and talents that have influenced other artists. It also brings you in on the momentous moments of her life, including her momentous return to live performances after health struggles.
