A few years ago, the BBC World Service produced 13 Minutes to the Moon, a captivating award-winning series looking at Apollo 11, the first people who landed on the moon, and the near catastrophic Apollo 13. 

Now the team have reunited for a new podcast looking at NASA's Space Shuttle program, where reusable shuttles were used for missions. “It is arguably NASA's greatest achievement, but more consequential in many ways than the moon landings, with a legacy stretching across 135 missions and 30 years.” says host Kevin Fong.

The series looks at the visionaries who changed space flight, and features insights from more than 40 interviews from NASA veterans. It explores the Shuttle’s notable achievements, such as how crucial it was for the construction of the International Space Station, as well as the tragedies of Columbia and Challenger.
